Waldron Endorsed By Riverside and San Diego County Republican Parties
Waldron is the sole Republican on the ballot in safe GOP Seat

(Escondido, CA) – This past week, the Republican Party of Riverside County and the Republican Party of San Diego County endorsed Marie Waldron for Assembly.  Waldron is running in the newly created 75th Assembly District, which includes the cities of Escondido and San Marcos, along with Valley Center, Fallbrook and other unincorporated portions of north San Diego County.  A quarter of the district’s residents reside in Temecula and unincorporated portions of southwest Riverside County.

Filing for the 75th closed on March 9th and Waldron is the only Republican.  With a Republican registration advantage of over 22 points, the district is considered one of the safest Republican seats in California.  There is one other candidate in the race, a Democrat.

“We are very excited that Marie is well positioned to be elected to the Assembly in November,” said Tony Krvaric, Chairman of the Republican Party of San Diego County. “She has a long history of fighting for reform in Escondido, and has been a good friend to Republican candidates and causes over many years.”

“We’re proud to support Marie – we know she’ll make a fine Assemblywoman,” added Randon Lane, Chairman of the Republican Party of Riverside County.  “As a businesses owner and local elected official we know that she’ll be an effective advocate for Riverside businesses and families and we appreciate her support of local control.”

Waldron has previously announced the support of several organizations and elected officials including the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association PAC, the North San Diego County Association of Realtors, the Lincoln Club of San Diego County, and the Temecula Valley Republican Women Federated.  Current 75th District legislators Senator Joel Anderson, Senator Mark Wyland, Assemblyman Martin Garrick and Assemblyman Kevin Jeffries, former State Senator Dennis Hollingsworth; and the majority of the district’s mayors have all endorsed her campaign.

Waldron is a small business owner and has served on the Escondido City Council since 1998.  She has been a staunch advocate for fiscal restraint and accountability while on the Escondido City Council and has opposed all water rate and tax increases.
